Journey with DIPG: Devastating Diagnosis and Seeking Alternatives
Jessica was 11 when she was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare and deadly brain stem tumour. Physicians told her parents that the tumour was untreatable and she would live only 8-18 months. Her parents, Mr and Mrs Ressel, were horrified and devastated and turned to alternative care, and finally stumbled on the Burzynski Clinic with its safe, non-toxic, non-invasive approach, called antineoplaston therapy (sodium phenylbutyrate derivatives).
“She had a brain stem tumor known as DIPG. She was 11. We were told it was inoperable. The prognosis was roughly 8-18 months. The recommendations were – chemo, radiation.”

Discovering Non-Conventional Therapy
After Jessica’s diagnosis, the Ressel family studied alternative and complementary treatments in the hope that she would live longer. They were motivated by the success of other patients that chose this 4PBA therapy. It was a less invasive choice than conventional treatments and had been successful in reversing inoperable tumors.
Jessica’s Remarkable Progress and Cure
The young lady began this metabolic, malignant gene fixing therapy and soon showed notable signs of improvement. Remarkably, she became cancer-free and has continued to live a healthy, normal life for many years. Her parents attribute her recovery and long-term remission to the treatment she received at the clinic, expressing immense gratitude for this alternative approach that helped their daughter overcome DIPG.
A Mother’s Perspective
Mrs. Ressel, reflecting on the experience, shared the emotional toll of Jessica’s diagnosis, the limited time doctors initially gave her, and the family’s journey toward finding effective treatment. She emphasized the hope that alternative treatment clinic offered and the positive impact of the clinic’s holistic approach, including the importance of good nutrition and comprehensive care.
A Story of Hope, Perseverance, and Fighting Cancer
Jessica’s journey with DIPG demonstrates the potential of alternative therapies to offer hope in dire situations. For the Ressel family, finding the non-conventional treatment clinic and embracing a non-toxic approach was life-changing. Their story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of choice in medical treatment and the possibilities that innovative therapies can bring to families in need.
“She received treatment about a year and ten months to two years. Within the first five weeks, her eyes went from white grotesque to totally clear. The typical side-effects – she peed a lot, drank a lot. I just can’t believe, it’s in this many years later, what, my daughter is cancer-free for 20 years. She is now 31, a mother of two.”
